Vanilla, the world's most famous flavour is extracted from the seed pods of orchids of the genus vanilla (a variety of orchid) that grows only in tropical climates. Made with Madagascar's finest vanilla pods, the warm and soft scent of the world’s favourite bean has a familiar aroma that is indulgent and luxurious, complimenting our dark chocolate perfectly.

Modica’s chocolate should be dark brown and its surface might appear mottled and matte. As the cocoa used to make this chocolate does not go through conching or tempering, this is absolutely normal and not an indication of bad storage or bad tempering as in other kinds of chocolate.

Modica chocolate may exhibit colour variation or crystallization that looks like “cocoa butter blooming” which is a normal possible side effect of its low processed nature and the artisanal methods used to produce it. It is not an indication that the chocolate is damaged or was mis-tempered.
